The trailers of Shah Rukh Khan and Ajay Devgn's upcoming films are set to release along with Salman Khan's Tubelight, whose distribution rights were reportedly sold for Rs 130 crores.
The films in question are Shah Rukh Khan's untitled next with Imtiaz Ali and Ajay Devgn's Baadshaho.
A source speaking to Mid-Day said, "Tubelight is a big holiday release. It is customary to attach multiple trailers with such films. We will be happy to accommodate both [trailers] if the stars agree to the arrangement."
Amar Butala, the CEO of Salman Khan's banner, has confirmed this news, explaining that the makers of both films approached the makers of Tubelight, who agreed to attach both trailers.
In the past, these stars' films have clashed at the box office in 2012, when Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Son of Sardar released at the same time. SRK's Jab Tak Hai Jaan outperformed Devgn's Son of Sardar.
Shah Rukh Khan stars opposite Anushka Sharma in Ali's project, which is a romantic film. It is produced by Ali and Gauri Khan, and is expected to release on 11 August, 2017. Baadshaho, directed by Milan Luthria, also stars Emraan Hashmi, Esha Gupta, Ileana D'Cruz and Vidyut Jammwal. It is a thriller set against the backdrop of the Emergency, set to release on 1 September, 2017.
Tubelight is a period film set in the time period of the Indo-China war. In it, Salman Khan will be seen romancing Chinese actress Zhu Zhu. The film will release on Eid, that is 23 June, 2017.
