Finally after 11 years, we will get a chance to see our favourite Indian sitcom, Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai again, but this time as a web series.
The news of the web series revival of the show surfaced in July 2016 when the cast had met for a reunion.
The news took fans by suprise after the 2012 statement by the show's director Deven Bhojani which said the show will never come back on air.
Now, according to a report by Mumbai Mirror, shooting for the web series will start by the end of the month and will include a few new cast members with the usual crew.
The show will take a leap of 7 years from the time it ended and will be released in May. "After the show wrapped up, all of us, including the actors, got busy with other commitments. However, at every public event and even at private functions in the last 10 years, I was always asked when Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai was returning," actor-producer-director said Jamnadas Majethia.

The show follows the eccentricities of the Sarabhai family, an upper middle class family living in South Bombay. The family consists of Indravadan Sarabhai (Satish Shah) and his wife Maya (Ratna Pathak), who live in an apartment with their younger son Rosesh (Rajesh Kumar). Their older son Sahil (Sumeet Raghavan) and his wife Monisha Sarabhai(Rupali Ganguly) live in the apartment across the hallway.
The TV series which debuted in 2004 was a breath of fresh air among saas-bahu centric soap operas that dominated the scene. But now, the web series will be competing against the likes of web production houses like TVF, Amazon, Netflix, and Yash Raj Studios's YRF which releases content targeted at the same audience.
But people will surely return for the sake of nostalgia?
