Sanjay Dutt's Torbaaz reportedly stalled over creative differences between actor and director
Although Sanjay Dutt has multiple films in the pipeline, his Torbaaz is reportedly in limbo. There has been no progress on the film due to creative difference between Dutt and director Girish Malik, reports DNA.
The team of Torbaaz was earlier shooting in the picturesque locales of Kyrgyzstan. However, he had reportedly returned to be with his family just after a week of shoot. Although he had earlier refuted rumours of a creative fallout between him and the director, a source tells DNA that the crew is clueless about the future of the film. Not a single shot has been taken after the first schedule, according to the same report. However, Dutt and Malik are yet to confirm or deny the news.
Torbaaz is an Afghanistan-set action thriller which will see Dutt essay the role of an army man and a father to a young child. His character will try to rehabilitate the young fidayeens through cricket. The drama also stars Fahim Fazli and Nargis Fakhri, who was last seen in Banjo opposite Riteish Deshmukh. The film was declared a flop at the box office. Dutt's last outing was Omung Kumar's 2017 revenge drama Bhoomi, which had tanked too.
