Looks like the fact that Bhoomi failed the box office didn’t go down well with Sanjay Dutt. Reports have claimed Dutt has opted out of Omang Kumar’s next project The Good Maharaja after seeing his ‘so-called’ comeback movie’s fate. Omang Kumar had announced his grand project The Good Maharaja with Sanjay Dutt right after he finished shooting for Bhoomi, but now, if these reports are any indication, Dutt seems to be in no mood to take another risk and collaborate with his former director. The first look of the movie, where Sanjay Dutt was seen in a royal avatar, triggered a lot of excitement among the audience. According to a report by DNA, a close aide of Dutt has confirmed the news of him saying no to The Good Maharaja. Dutt is currently shooting for Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3. There have been rumors about the actor working more closely with Mahesh Bhatt for Sadak 2 and considering that to be his ‘real comeback’. Mukesh Bhatt was quoted as saying to DNA, “Sadak is the story of the same man, but 25 years later. The reason I think this should’ve been his comeback film is that Sadak was a cult film and Sanjay became a superstar after this film. The script is almost ready and we plan to roll by end of this year or early next year.” Dutt has also expressed his willingness to focus more on his next home production, which is a remake of a Malayalam film Prasthanam. The movie is believed to go on floors March 2018 onwards. Before that Dutt has another project named Torbaz, where he is playing an army officer.
