Salman Khan's last box office outing, Kabir Khan's period drama Tubelight, failed to create the same magic as his previous hits. However, high hopes are attached to his next, Ali Abbas Zafar's action thriller Tiger Zinda Hai.
Now, Koimoi.com reports that the first teaser of Tiger Zinda Hai will be attached to yet another sequel featuring Salman, David Dhawan's upcoming comedy Judwaa 2. While the film will feature Salman only in a cameo (double role cameo, mind it), it stars Varun Dhawan in the lead role, yet again in a double role.
The same report states that the initial plan was to attach the first Tiger Zinda Hai promo with Tubelight. But the shooting of the film is far from over. DNA reports that the cast and crew will start shooting in Morocco post the IIFA Awards 2017 this weekend in the New York City, they will wrap up the film with another 60 day shooting schedule in the UAE.
Thus, the first promo will be attached with Judwaa 2 instead. Salman's link to Judwaa 2 is not only that he has a cameo in the film but also that it is a reboot of his 1997 blockbuster Judwaa, directed by David.
Tiger Zinda Hai also stars Katrina Kaif, Angad Bedi and Paresh Rawal. It is the sequel to Kabir Khan's 2012 blockbuster Ek Tha Tiger and is produced by Aditya Chopra's Yash Raj Films. It is slated to release this Christmas on 20 December.
Judwaa 2 also stars Taapsee Pannu, Ileana D'Cruz and Anupam Kher along with a cameo by Karisma Kapoor. It is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala's Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. It is slated to release on 28 September.
