Salman Khan to be paired opposite a fresh face in Remo D'Souza's dancer-dad film

It was earlier reported that choreographer-cum-filmmaker Remo D'Souza has signed Salman Khan for a dancing drama in which Khan will be seen as an ageing father to an ambitious 13 year old.

Salman Khan has three big budget films scheduled for 2017: Tubelight, Tiger Zinda Hai and Dabangg 3

Now, the Times of India reports that while Khan is busy shooting for Ali Abbas Zafar's action thriller Tiger Zinda Hai, D'Souza is scouting for a fresh face to be paired opposite the superstar in his film. Bollywood Life reports that D'Souza launched his app earlier this year as a means to not only promote his upcoming films but also as a medium to allow prospective dancers and actors to showcase their talent and put forward their desires to work in Hindi cinema.

D'Souza is currently holding auditions across the country in search of the actor that he will pair opposite Khan in the dance drama. The last time Khan played a father was back in 1998, in Deepak Sareen's romantic drama Jab Pyaar Kisi Se Hota Hai.

While Remo has never directed Khan in the past, he has choreographed his songs in films like Sohail Khan's 2014 action drama Jai Ho, Vipul Shah's 2009 musical London Dreams, Williard Carrol's 2007 romantic comedy Marigold, Ravi Chopra's 2006 family drama Babul, KS Adhiyaman's 2006 romantic comedy Shaadi Karke Phas Gaya Yaar and the 2005 romantic drama Lucky: No Time For Love.

Khan has appeared in multiple films with debut female actors, like Sonakshi Sinha in Abhinav Kashyap's 2010 action entertainer Dabangg, Sneha Ullal in Lucky: No Time For Love, Zarine Khan in Anil Sharma's 2010 period drama Veer and Daisy Shah in Jai Ho.

Khan is currently gearing up for the release of Kabir Khan's period war drama Tubelight that is slated to release on 25 June, in which he will be seen with yet another fresh face, Chinese actor Zhu Zhu. Khan will start shooting for D'Souza's film after the release of Tubelight.
