Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Karan Johar will come together for a film in 2018
A big-ticket entertainer is in the making, as superstar Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and filmmaker Karan Johar are coming together for a movie slated to release in 2018.
The trio took to their social media accounts to make one the first biggest announcements of the New Year. The yet untitled project will be produced by Salman and Karan, while Akshay will star in the lead role. The film will be directed by Anurag Singh, who has previously done Punjabi films.

Karan Johar, who has previously worked with Salman in his debut Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, said he is "supremely excited" about the movie. This is the first kind of collaboration between two contemporary star/producers and a contemporary director/producer. While Karan Johar and Akshay Kumar have never worked together, Kumar and Salman have done Mujhse Shaadi Karoge and Jaaneman.
Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar's next release in Subhash Kapoor's Jolly LLB whereas, Salman is currently shooting for his Eid release, Kabir Khan's Tubelight. Karan's last film was Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, and he has not yet announced his next directorial venture.
This pairing should be an interesting one to watch out for.
