Saif Ali Khan to reunite with Nikhil Advani in Baazaar, 14 years after Kal Ho Naa Ho

One of the landmark films of Saif Ali Khan's career is undoubtedly Nikhil Advani's directorial debut, the 2003 romantic comedy Kal Ho Naa Ho. Now, 14 years later, the duo are reuniting for yet another film that will revolve around the stock market.

Titled Baazaar, the film will introduce Rohan Mehra, the son of late actor Vinod Mehra, who will play a young parallel lead. Advani, who is also producing the film under his home production Emmay Entertainment, has approached two leading ladies as well.

DNAreports that he has approached Nimrat Kaur for the role opposite Saif Ali Khan. Pinkvilla reports that Fatima Sana Shaikh, who made her debut as the grown up Geeta Phogat in Nitesh Tiwari's sports biopic Dangal last year, has been approached for the role opposite Rohan.

Bollywood Life confirms that since she is not doing a film that she was very keen on, Vijay Krishna Acharya's period drama Thugs of Hindostan, she may go ahead and sign Baazaar. Though Aamir Khan was insisting on Shaikh since he launched her, producer Aditya Chopra seems to have locked in Shraddha Kapoor for the role.

Baazaar was initially being co-produced by Advani and Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms. However, the report by Pinkvilla states that she walked out of the film because of issues over the budget and differences with Advani. However, Advani clarified that the split was amicable and they are open to working with her in the near future.

Saif wrapped up the shooting of Raja Krishna Menon's Chef last month. His next home production, Akshat Verma's Kaalakaandi is under post-production. He will be seen opposite Sobhita Dhulipala, who made her debut in Anurag Kashyap's dark thriller Raman Raghav 2.0 last year, in both the films.

However, there is no official word of confirmation on both the female actors yet.
