Sai Pallavi starts shooting in Kolkata for her third Telugu film co-starring Sharwanand

Fresh on the heels of the success of Middle Class Abbayi, Sai Pallavi has started shooting for her third Telugu film, where she will co-star with actor Sharwanand. The movie went on floors in Kolkata yesterday. The yet-untitled film, which is billed as a breezy romantic comedy, is directed by Hanu Raghavapudi and produced by Prasad Chukkapalli and Sudhakar Cherukuri under the banner Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Cinemas. Vishal Chandrasekhar, who earlier worked with Hanu Raghavapudi in the Nani-starrer Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gaadha, has been roped in to compose music for the project. The makers are also planning to shoot an extensive schedule in Kathmandu, Nepal after completing the Kolkata leg. [caption id=“attachment_4093657” align=“alignleft” width=“380”] ![Sai Pallavi. He had also kicked off 2017 on a successful note with the family drama Shatamanam Bhavati, which fetched the ‘Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment’ award at the 64th National Film Awards for ‘providing a feeling of jubilation by respecting family values in an unexplored manner.’ The film raked in the moolah at the box-office despite clashing with big-ticket films such as Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Khaidi No. 150 and Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Gautamiputra Shatakarni.  On the other hand, Sai Pallavi won rave reviews for her debut performance in Sekhar Kammula’s Fidaa and starred in Dil Raju production MCA, which minted money at the box office, also to emerge as Nani’s career-biggest earner with a lifetime share of Rs. 40 crores. Now, the first-time combination of Sai Pallavi and Sharwanand, who have delivered back to back hits, is eagerly awaited by the Telugu trade. “The film will please youth as well as family audiences. We are planning to release the movie in monsoon,” the makers had earlier said in a statement. Sai Pallavi is currently awaiting the release of director Vijay’s emotional drama Karu, which is slated to hit screens on February 23 in both Tamil and Telugu (titled Kanam). Also starring Naga Shaurya and RJ Balaji in important roles, Karu is produced by 2.0 makers Lyca Productions.
