Perrie Edwards of Little Mix hospitalised before gig; apologises for letting fans down
Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards was rushed to the hospital in Las Vegas after facing gastric problems a few hours before her performance at the iHeartRadio Music Festival, as per E News. The singer, who is now out of the hospital, sent out a heartfelt message to her fans, apologising for her absence.
The other three members of the band — Jesy Nelson, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock had to take to the stage without their fourth member.
A representative of the band, told Daily Mail, that Edwards started feeling unwell the night before her performance after which she was taken to the hospital.
Little Mix was formed in the year 2011 during the eighth season of X Factor UK. By delivering four singles which occupied the top spot in the UK and with the highest first week album sales in the same country for a girl band since the Spice Girls, the band remains one of the strongest female acts in contemporary British popular culture.
