While speculations about Patty Jenkins directing Wonder Woman 2 continue, the director has moved on to TV to direct a six-episode drama with Chris Pine in a pivotal role. The series will air on TNT.
The show is titled One Day She’ll Darken and is inspired by the autobiography of Fauna Hodel, also titled One Day She'll Darken: The Mysterious Beginnings of Fauna Hodel, as per verge.com.
Hodel, was mysteriously given away by her biological mother to a a black restroom attendant in Nevada, in 1949.
As Fauna begins to investigate the secrets to her past, she follows a sinister trail that swirls ever closer to an infamous Hollywood gynecologist, Dr George Hodel.
George was involved in the darkest Hollywood debauchery, the spider in the web around the legendary ‘Black Dahlia’ murder of Elizabeth Short in Los Angeles in 1947.
Jenkins' Wonder Woman destroyed the box office, becoming DC Comics' most successful film. Pine, who also starred in the superhero spectacle, is getting on board to co-executive produce the limited TV show with Jenkins. He will appear in all six episodes, giving the Wonder Woman fandom another unforgettable cinematic experience.
Writer and Jenkins' husband Sam Sheridan, who authored A Fighter’s Heart and The Disaster Diaries, will write the six episodes, as per Vanity Fair.
