He is shown marching forward in the arid terrains of Pokran and following him in the background is a military camp base adorned with a convoy of army jeeps, vans etc.
The film is based on Pokhran-II, the series of five nuclear bomb test explosions conducted in Rajasthan in 1998.
Speaking to The Indian Express regarding the film, Abraham said, "Parmanu is an ode to the army and scientists, who although ordinary people, truly accomplished extraordinary feats in the face of adversity to ensure that India finds its due place on the world nuclear map. It is a powerful human story of ordinary citizens who changed the trajectory of the country. It is so special to me because it combines all the aspects of film making that really speak to me – a thrilling edge of the seat plotline."
Parmanu has been produced by KriArj Entertainment, Zee Studios, Kyta Productions in association with Abraham's JA Entertainment. It stars Diana Penty and Boman Irani along with Abraham.
Abraham is also credited to have written the film along with Saiwyn Quadros and Sanyuktha Chawla Shaikh (writers of Neerja). The music of the film is helmed by music composer duo Sachin-Jigar.
