Parineeti Chopra is the newest addition to Golmaal 4; Ajay Devgn welcomes her on board
It has been a while since we have seen Parineeti Chopra on screen. Though she appeared in a cameo in Rohit Dhawan’s Dishoom earlier this year, her last film as the leading lady was two years ago in Shaad Ali’s Kill Dill.
However, her fans have a new reason to rejoice as she has signed the fourth installment of the immensely successful Golmaal series. Kareena Kapoor Khan, the female lead actor of the last two installments, walked out of the film owing to her pregnancy as the makers are planning to commence the filming early next year.
Trade analyst Taran Aadarsh broke the news of Chopra replacing Khan on Twitter:
It's official! Parineeti Chopra is the new #Golmaal girl... Directed by Rohit Shetty... Diwali 2017 release.

Chopra retweeted the news as a gesture to confirm the news. The lead actor of the franchise, Ajay Devgn congratulated his prospective co-star and welcomed her on board the “crazy Golmaal family”. Chopra returned the favour promptly by saying that she is excited to be a part of the new installment.
Welcome to the crazy Golmaal family @ParineetiChopra

Chopra will join the cast of Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Kunal Khemu, Tusshar Kapoor and Shreyas Talpade who will reprise their roles from the prequels. According to a report by The Indian Express, filmmaker Rohit Shetty will start filming in Goa from late January or early February.
As far as Chopra is concerned, she has recently completed the shooting of Meri Pyari Bindu opposite Ayushmann Khurrana. According to a report by Mumbai Mirror, she was scheduled to start the shooting of Homi Adjania’s Takadum opposite Sushant Singh Rajput but the schedule got postponed to next year.
The development allowed her to sign Golmaal 4, much to the delight of her fans.
We have seen Chopra in a few comedies before; debut film Manish Sharma’s Ladies Vs Ricky Behl and in Vinil Mathew’s Hasee Toh Phasee.
It will be interesting to see her cash in on her impeccable comic timing and bubbly persona in a full-fledged role in Golmaal 4.
