Minungum Minnaminunge from Oppam recreates Mohanlal-Priyadarshan magic
Malayalam superstar Mohanlal's much awaited film Oppam has released its first song 'Minungum Minnaminunge' and it seems like it has already created quite a rage on social media.
It follows a visually impaired Mohanlal as he teaches a new song to the child artiste Meenakshi for her school Annual Day function.
Composed by Jim, Biby, Eldhose, and Justin of 4 Musics Band, MG Sreekumar and Sreya Jayadeep have lent their voice to the melodious number.
The actor shared the song on his Facebook page to an overwhelming response by his fans.
For Lalettan fans the song instantly reminds them of his previous tracks like Minnaram song 'Thaliraninjoru Kilimarathile' and Uncle Bun song 'Kurukkuthi Kannulla' where he was seen singing and dancing with kids as well.
Directed by Priyadarshan, Oppam will bring the popular director-actor jodi together after their 2013 film Geethanjali. Major portions of the crime thriller are shot in Ooty, said to be a lucky location for the duo.
In an interview to Deccan Chronicle the director said, "All these movies — Thalavattom, Kilukkam, Minnaram, Chitram and Mithunam — were shot in Ooty, our lucky location. All those movies were super hits too."
The film also stars Vimala Raman, Anusree, Samuthirakani, Nedumudi Venu, Siddique, Mamukkoya, Renji Panicker, Aju Varghese, Kalasala Babu, Idavela Babu and Chemban Vinod Jose.
Mohanlal will also be seen in Janatha Garage, a bilingual that will be releasing in Telugu and Malayalam on 1 September. Oppam will be releasing on 8 September giving Kerala audience a lovely Onam treat this year.
