Mahesh Babu's Bharat Ane Nenu, Allu Arjun's Naa Peru Surya avert box-office clash with Rajinikanth's Kaala

The makers of Allu Arjun’s Naa Peru Surya, Naa Illu India and Mahesh Babu’s Bharat Ane Nenu, two of the most anticipated Telugu releases of the year, on Thursday announced their new release dates to avoid a box-office clash with superstar Rajinikanth’s Kaala, which is confirmed to hit the screens on 27 April. The release of Kaala was advanced following the delay in the completion of 2.0, which was originally slated to release on 27 April. The project features Rajinikanth in the role of a slum lord turned gangster and he has joined hands with director Pa Ranjith for the second time after Kabali. The film also stars Nana Patekar, Huma Qureshi, Anjali Patil, Samuthirakani and Pankaj Tripathi in key roles. The film’s story is rumoured to be based on the life of Mumbai-based gangster-turned-reformer Haji Mastan. Both the films announced their new release dates via statements. Earlier this month, Naa Peru Surya team began filming the climax sequence in Hyderabad and the principal shooting is expected to be wrapped up by this month-end. Being directed by Vakkantham Vamsi, the film features Allu Arjun in the role of a military officer with anger issues. The team recently completed a grueling shooting schedule in extreme climatic conditions in and around Kashmir. Apparently, Arjun and the team shot in minus 12 degrees conditions. To play his part, Arjun underwent month-long training with a US-based trainer to achieve the desired look. The film also stars Anu Emmanuel and popular Tamil star Arjun in crucial roles. The film has music by Vishal-Sekhar, while filmmaker-lensman Rajeev Ravi is cranking the camera. Mahesh Babu, on the other hand, is busy finishing Bharat Ane Nenu, in which he will seen in the role of a Chief Minister. Being directed Koratala Siva, who has teamed up with Mahesh Babu for the second time after Srimanthudu; the film is being produced by DVV Entertainments. Kiara Advani makes her Telugu debut via the project, which has music by Devi Sri Prasad.
