Let's not create fuss about my statement on SRK: Rehman Malik
After a furore over his comment on actor Shah Rukh Khan, Pakistan’s Interior Minister Rehman Malik changed his stance and said he only wanted love and peace to prevail between the two nations.
After his statement was criticised by the Indian government and shrugged off by the actor, Malik tweeted and clarified that he had told the media that Shah Rukh is an Indian national and let India handle his security.
In a string of tweets, Rehman said that all he wanted was for love and peace to prevail between both countries and there shouldn't be too much' fuss' about his comment.
Two days back, Rehman waded into the controversy over Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan’s remarks about the problems purportedly faced by Indian Muslims, saying the Indian government should provide the actor security.
“He (Shah Rukh) is born Indian and he would like to remain Indian, but I will request the government of India (to) please provide him security. I would like to request all Indian brothers and sisters and all those who are talking in a negative way about Shah Rukh, they should know he is a movie star,” Malik had said.
