Kareena Kapoor to turn writer with upcoming book on her journey as actress and mother
Kareena Kapoor is undoubtedly one Bollywood superstar who has never shied away from cameras and media - be it in her professional life or personal.
She has been open about her opinions on her fellow celebrities, her personal life and relationship status with her once-beau-now-husband Saif Ali Khan, and much recently, her pregnancy and then motherhood.
Now, according to Mumbai Mirror, the Jab We Met actress is also planning to write a book that would focus on Kapoor's experiences as an actress and then a mother.
"I'm definitely writing a book on motherhood, it’ll be interesting and fun. Throughout my pregnancy I’ve shot for brands that would sign me despite my size. I did two shoots, one when I was four months pregnant and the second at seven months and I enjoyed every minute of it. Three months after the delivery, I shot for a brand that didn’t seem to have a problem with a heavier me. It’s been a blessed journey so far," the actress told Mirror.
Kapoor began her acting career with JP Dutta's Refugee (2000) opposite Abhishek Bachchan and then rose to super-stardom with films like Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai (2001), Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham... (2001), Chameli (2004) and Omkara (2006). With Jab We Met (2008), 3 Idiots (2009), Golmaal Returns (2008) and Golmaal 3 (2010) turning out to be huge money-spinners at the box-office, she established herself as one of the most sought after actresses in the Hindi film industry.
Currently she is all set to start shooting for her next, Veere Di Wedding, which will be an all-female actors' movie produced by Rhea Kapoor and stars Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania. The film will be directed by Shashanka Ghosh known for his films like Khoobsurat (2014), Aamir (2008) to name a few.
