Kareena Kapoor Khan was lauded for her performance in her last film, Abhishek Kapoor's Udta Punjab. As of now, the actor has only one film on her plate - Rhea Kapoor's Veerey Di Wedding in which she will share the screen space with Sonam Kapoor and Swara Bhaskar.
Now, the Times of India reports that she is in talks with good friend and filmmaker Karan Johar for yet another film. It will be a romantic comedy produced by Johar's banner Dharma Productions. Though the actor has not given her nod yet, it will be interesting to see her collaborate with Johar yet again.
Johar addressed the rift that occurred between Kareena and him back in 2004, in his autobiography An Unsuitable Boy. He revealed how Kareena demanded an equal pay to her co-star Shah Rukh Khan for Nikhil Advani's romantic comedy Kal Ho Naa Ho. Johar got upset by her unreasonable demand and both of them did not talk till Kareena called up the filmmaker to console him after his father Yash Johar's death due to cancer.
After that, there was no looking back. Seven years after their first collaboration in Johar's 2002 family drama Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, they reunited once again in Rensil D'Silva's 2009 action thriller Kurbaan. Then, Kareena worked in Dharma films like Siddharth Malhotra's 2010 film We Are Family, Shakun Batra's 2012 romantic comedy Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu and Punit Malhotra's 2013 romantic comedy Gori Tere Pyaar Mein.
Bollywood Lifereports that Kareena will finish her maternity break by the end of this month and resume shooting for Veerey Di Wedding in May. Also, there were reports of her considerably slashing her pay in accordance with the budget of Veerey Di Wedding, which is being produced by her good friend Rhea.
We can't wait to see more of her onscreen!
