Justin Bieber in India as a part of his Purpose World Tour: Here are all the details
Grammy award winning pop sensation Justin Bieber will make his way to India with his Purpose World Tour in May.
10 May 2017 will see the 22-year-old Canadian singer-songwriter will perform hits like 'Baby','Where Are Ace Now', 'Boyfriend', and 'What Do You Mean?' at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai.
The organisers are working towards making it one of the biggest live music acts witnessed in recent times in India. After the great reception and success of the Coldplay show last November, Bieber is the biggest singer to come to India.
Arjun Jain, director of White Fox India which is the sole promoter of the tour is confident that the concert will be bigger than the Coldplay concert. "Anyone who has experienced the Justin Bieber Believe Tour internationally will be able to comprehend the magnitude of the event. It's phenomenal how India will be viewed as the next big destination for pop acts of this stature," he adds.
Bieber will fly in with an entourage of 150 people, including backup dancers and choreographers. Other than performing, the singer is also likely to indulge in some Mumbai darshan reports Hindustan Times. A source closely associated with Bieber's maiden India tour revealed that since Bieber loves Indian food in the UK, the organisers have already made plans to chalk out a special desi menu comprising of his favourite dishes like chicken tikka (surprise surprise).
He'll also be given a tour of the Gandhi museum in Mumbai and gifted a specially compiled coffee table book that will have some of the Bollywood A-listers expressing their love for him.
Mid-Day also reported that a special outfit will be gifted to Bieber and multiple designers have been approached to craft a trousseau for the Grammy award winning star.
Bieber's latest jaunt is in support of his fourth album Purpose, wherein he has experimented with more exploratory electronic sounds. Bieber's tour kicked off in March 2016 in Seattle and will conclude this September in Toronto. Apart from India, the Asia leg of the tour comprises Tel Aviv in Israel and Dubai in the UAE.
