Salman Khan to have a cameo in Judwaa sequel with Varun Dhawan?
As if the double dose of Varun Dhawan was not enough, Salman Khan will do an extended guest appearance in Judwaa 2, the sequel to his immensely successful 1997 comedy Judwaa.
Mumbai Mirror reports that Khan will share the screen space with Varun in the film. He will play the character of Godfather Gunda who will mentor Varun and his twin avatars, as reported by The Indian Express.
This will be Khan’s 10th outing with filmmaker David Dhawan, his last one being Partner in 2007. His first movie with the director was Judwaa where he played the double role of estranged brothers Raja and Prem Malhotra whose personalities were like chalk and cheese.
As reported by NDTV, Varun will also helm a double role in the sequel. The script will be peppered with tapori slang which lent the prequel a comic touch.
The makers are also considering a remix of the iconic song from Judwaa, Tan Tana Tan Tan Tan Taara. The shooting of the film will commence in 2017 on the beaches of the Mediterranean and it is being pushed for a September 2017 release.
Judwaa 2 will mark Varun’s second outing with his father as their last film together, Main Tera Hero was a huge hit. Like that film, Judwaa 2 will also feature two female actors who will play the love interests of the two roles played by Varun.
While there is speculation that Alia Bhatt and Jacqueline Fernandez are being considered as the leading ladies, there is no official word on that update yet.
