Anne Hathaway and her husband Adam Shulman have a new addition to their family — a son named Jonathan Rosebanks Shulman. The Les Miserables actress reportedly gave birth on 24 March in Los Angeles.
Anne’s spokesperson confirmed the development to E! News, saying, “The baby is extremely healthy and is surrounded by friends and family in LA. Anne and Adam are ecstatic to be parents.”
Anne and Adam began dating in 2008 and tied the knot in a low-key ceremony at Big Sur, in September 2012. A little while ago, Anne announced that they were expecting their first child by posting a picture of her baby bump to Instagram.
The Oscar-winning actress had previously spoken about her desire to be a mother in an interview with Vogue, back in 2013: “I want to be a mother, and I anticipate loving my children quite fiercely,” she had said at the time. “I think about it all the time.”
However, Anne had also expressed her fears about the kind of media attention her children would have to contend with.
Happy 2016 to my beautiful Instafriends! So, posting a bikini pic is a little out of character for me, but just now while I was at the beach I noticed I was being photographed. I figure if this kind of photo is going to be out in the world it should at least be an image that makes me happy (and be one that was taken with my consent. And with a filter Wishing you love, light and blessings for the year ahead! ⚡️Annie⚡️
Reports also said that the star and her husband had cleared their schedules so they could have some quality time together as they prepared for their baby, with sources close to the duo saying that Adam intended to be a very hands-on as a father.
