The Central Board of Film Certification never fails to surprise us with its strange reasoning. In another unfortunate move, the CBFC has asked the makers of Shah Rukh Khan-Anushka Sharma starrer Jab Harry Met Sejal to delete the word 'intercourse' from one of the mini trailers. According to The Quint, the CBFC has granted a U/A certificate to the film, but have asked for the word to be snipped.
In the second mini trailer of Imtiaz Ali's romantic comedy, Sharma is seen presenting an indemnity bond to Khan, which absolves him of all legal charges if the couple are to engage in sexual intercourse. The scene has been shot in a light-hearted manner and does not seem vulgar at all. However, the CBFC has expressed its concern with the word 'intercourse', deeming it unsuitable for all Indian medium.
Therefore, as per Nihalani's statement in the same report, the trailer has not been given a green signal yet by the authorities.
