IIFA film: Salman Khan to share screen space with Sonakshi Sinha, Diljit Dosanjh in Crazy Hum
That Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapoor and Diljit Dosanjh would star together in a film by Wiz Films created much buzz in June. "The film will have elements of romance, comedy and drama. It should go on floors this year. Things are in process as far as the title and director of the film is concerned," said Sabbas Joseph, the founder-director of Wizcraft, which owns Wiz Films.
Of particular interest was the speculation that portions of the film would be shot at the 2017 IIFA Awards, and that a lot of Bollywood's celebrities would make appearances in it. Later, it was reported that Karan Johar would play a pivotal role in it as himself.
Now, it has emerged that Salman Khan will also do a cameo in the film. "I’ve been working since the time I’ve come, I just shot a cameo for Vashu Bhagnani and IIFA. The film is on IIFA so let’s see how that goes. I was just shooting for it right now," he said, in an interview to India Today.
Bollywood Life reports that Boman Irani, too, has a part in the film, and that leads Sinha and Dosanjh shot for sequences on stage and the green carpet in New York.
The working title of the film is Crazy Hum, and it is directed by Chakri Toleti. It was also reported that the film would explore what goes on behind the scenes of a Bollywood award show. This film will be jointly produced by Vashu Bhagnani and Wiz Films.
