It was earlier reported that Sonakshi Sinha, Diljit Dosanjh and Aditya Roy Kapur will share the screen space in a joint production of Vashu Bhagnani and Wiz Films.
Now, Mid-Dayreports that filmmaker Karan Johar has also been roped in to play a pivotal part in the film. Johar, who decided to stay away from acting post his debacle in Anurag Kashyap's 2015 period musical Bombay Velvet, has reportedly given his nod to the film.
This film, to be directed by Chakri Toleti, is tentatively titled Crazy Hum. Also, DNA reports that the film will explore what goes behind the scenes of a Bollywood award show. It is currently being shot at the IIFA Awards 2017, which are taking place in the New York City and are organised by Wizcraft, a co-producer of the film.
This film will also feature cameos of multiple film celebrities who will appear as themselves. Johar is also likely to play himself on screen. However, there is no official word of confirmation from either Bhagnani, Johar or Wiz Films.
While Dosanjh performed at IIFA Rocks on the eve of the awards night, Johar will be seen co-hosting the award show with Saif Ali Khan and Varun Dhawan.
