IIFA 2017: All the unforgettable moments from Bollywood flagship awards

The IIFA 2017 awards will be held in New York this year over 14-15 July (15, 16th July, India time). It is the first time that the award night is being telecast live from the venue. Therefore, Indian viewers will be able to relish all the performances as and when they happen.

IIFA has given the entertainment industry some memorable moments which have stayed with viewers throughout the years. Stellar performances, heartfelt speeches, rib-tickling moments - IIFA has entertained the audiences with everything in equal parts. As we inch closer to the grand night, let's have a look at some of the IIFA moments that made us go 'wow':

Priyanka Chopra and John Travolta dancing t0 'Tune Maari Entriyaan'

Priyanka Chopra is known to be an exquisite performer. Be it singing or dancing, she charms the audience with her grace. However, she shocked the world when she pulled John Travolta on stage, in the middle of her performance at IIFA 2014, and shook a leg with him on 'Tune Maari Entriyaan'. Surprisingly, Travolta managed to match up to PeeCee and it was quite a show.

Deepika Padukone teaches Kevin Spacey how to 'Lungi Dance'

Kevin Spacey, Farhan Akhtar, Shahid Kapoor taking lessons from Deepika Padukone on how to do the 'Lungi Dance' was the highlight of IIFA 2014. Watching the 'House of Cards' actor match up to Padukone was delightful.

Ranbir Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor's unforgettable performance

Ranbir and Rishi Kapoor had treated the audiences with an energetic dance performance at IIFA 2012. Surrounded by cheerleaders, the father-son duo grooved on stage to 'Bachna Ae Haseeno' , s song from Ranbir's movie of the same name. Here's a little clip of the two dancing away:

 

Karan Johar stunning everyone with his moves

Karan Johar usually appears on stage to either receive an award or to play the host. However, IIFA 2011 saw the filmmaker take to the stage and put up a little dance show with Riteish Deshmukh and Boman Irani. The filmmaker stunned everyone with his enthusiasm. His love for dance has only grown ever since as he went on to judge a number of dance reality shows after that.

Aishwarya Rai, Abhishek and Amitabh Bachchan come together

One of the most iconic moments in the history of IIFA was when veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan took to the stage to perform with son Abhishek Bachchan and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The three came together to perform their super-hit 'Kajra Re' song from Bunty Aur Babli.
