Ace fashion designer Vikram Phadnis will make his directorial debut this year with a Marathi family drama Hrudayantar, which translates to 'bonds of the heart'. Shah Rukh Khan had inaugurated the shooting of the film and now the director has roped in another prime actor, Hrithik Roshan, for a cameo in the film.
Bollywood Hungama reports that the mahurat ceremony of Hrudayantar, which saw Shah Rukh as the chief guest, was attended by a host of Hindi film celebrities like Arjun Kapoor, Athiya Shetty, Malaika and Amrita Arora, along with Shweta Bachchan. Roshan could not make it to the mahurat as he was abroad after the hectic promotions of his film, Sanjay Gupta's revenge drama, Kaabil, as reported by Mumbai Mirror.
While the details of his cameo are not certain, Mirror reports that the star plays himself and his part is crucial in taking the narrative forward. However, DNAreports that he will don his superstar avatar from his father Rakesh Roshan's franchise Krrish. He will be seen proposing to Punjabi actor Sonia Mann.

Along with Roshan, Shah Rukh and the large number of Hindi film celebrities who attended the mahurat, two ace choreographers Farah Khan and Shiamak Davar have also supported Phadnis in his maiden directorial venture substantially.
The report by DNA states that Farah has choreographed a majority of the songs of the film free of cost as she shares a special friendship with Phadnis. The two know each other since college when they used to do fashion shows as competitors. On the other hand, Davar has also played a small but substantial part in choreographing the songs of the film.
Hrudayantar stars Subodh Bhave and Mukta Bhave in the lead roles. It is slated to release on a date yet to be announced this year.
