While Twitterati is still trying to get around the fact that Katrina Kaif has been chosen for this year's Smita Patil Memorial Award, Prateik Babbar, Patil's son, has just heard the news.
The memorial award is instituted in the memory of the late actress Smita Patil and has previously been awarded to actresses like Madhuri Dixit, Sridevi and Tabu.
When the entertainment website Bollywood Life contacted Prateik to find out what he thought of the selection he seemed ignorant about it.
After getting all the details he said, “It’s a good news, I have heard she is a hardworking actress”.
Katrina Kaif became a subject of mockery and trolls on Twitter after the announcement as many thought that the actress was undeserving for the award.
After Smita Patil award to #KatrinaKaif, KRK will be the best person to get Dada Saheb Phalke award.

However Prateik refused to comment on that saying that he was unaware about this and will speak about it only after consultation with his family.
