Golmaal in New York: Sonakshi Sinha, Diljit Dosanjh's upcoming film gets a name
This year we have seen many first-time pairs — like Sushant Singh Rajput-Kriti Sanon in Raabta and Bhumi Pednekar-Akshay Kumar in Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, to name a few. Now, it’s time for another new pair, Sonakshi Sinha and Diljit Dosanjh.
The duo will be working together in Vashu Bhagnani’s next production, after being a part of a song from Sonakshi's last film Noor ('Move your Lakk'). The film, which started shooting in July, includes other actors as well, such as Lara Dutta, Boman Irani, and Karan Johar.
However, the latest development of this film is that it's finally been given a title: Golmaal in New York. The makers are calling the film India's "first stage reality movie."
According to reports, this title has started some sort of cold war as the makers of Golmaal Again are not happy with the Golmaal word becoming a common factor.
Vashu Bhagnani has apparently been working on this latest project for quite a while and promises to offer lots of comedy. The interesting ensemble cast and a fresh pairing of Sonakshi and Diljit has piqued our interest in the film. The interesting part is Golmaal in New York will have an option open for the sequels if the movie scores perfectly in the box office.
Sonakshi had earlier spoken about the film, "I'm excited to be a part of this project. We have started the shoot and it's for the first time that I have collaborated with Vashuji and Wizcraft for a film. Being India's first stage reality film, I am equally nervous and thrilled at the same time. It's extremely crazy and an out-and-out comedy. I'm really looking forward to this laugh riot."
