Golmaal Again, Secret Superstar get U/A certificate from CBFC ahead of their Diwali release
This Diwali, Hindi film audiences are going to see a face-off between Aamir Khan and Ajay Devgn. No, the Ishq co-stars are not going to engage in a literal brawl, their upcoming releases — Khan's Secret Superstar and Devgn's Golmaal Again — are slated to clash at the box-office.
Ahead of their release on this festive Friday, the films have been given a green signal by the CBFC, and have been given U/A certification, reports DNA.
DNA's report adds that Golmaal Again, which reportedly had some "supernatural references", led to a discussion within the Board. The film contains some unnatural scenes with ghosts and moving objects, which needed some extra scrutiny. However, giving the mood of the film and the amount of spook quotient in the film, the certification board didn't object and cleared it with the U/A certificate.
Golmaal Again is the fourth film to come out of Rohit Shetty's film franchise Golmaal. It stars Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Kemmu, Shreyas Talpade, Tabu and Parineeti Chopra in leading roles. Neil Nitin Mukesh is also speculated to play a pivotal part in the film.
Secret Superstar, backed by Aamir Khan Productions, stars Dangal wonder-kid and National Award-winning actress Zaira Wasim along with her mentor Aamir Khan. The film revolves around the journey of a teenage Muslim girl and aspiring singer, belonging to a conservative family, who with the emotional support of her mother and her mentor becomes a YouTube sensation. Khan's role is loosely based around the popular male singers during the 1990's. Secret Superstar has been directed by Advait Chandan.
