Game of Thrones season 7 episode 6 preview: Jon battles the Night King, death
'Death is the enemy. The first enemy and the last enemy. The one who always wins. But we still have to fight him.'
If the Game of Thrones season 7 episode 6 trailer just released by HBO is any indication, then the Battle of Tumbleton (aka the 'loot train attack') isn't the last magnificent skirmish we'll experience in this season.
Episode 5 — Eastwatch — saw Jon, Ser Jorah Mormont, Tormud, Gendry, The Hound, Ser Beric Dondarrion and Thoros the priest venture beyond the Wall in a wild bid to capture some white walkers.
They're going to get a whole lot more than they bargained for, when they come up against the full force of the Night King's wrath.
We see Jon and his gang trekking through the snowy wastes beyond the Wall, while danger creeps upon them. Ser Beric readies his flaming sword, mouths the dialogue mentioned above, and gets ready to fight. By the way in which we later see Jon and the others running helter-skelter, it doesn't end well.
But before their flight, they do get in some good shots.
In other glimpses from the preview, we see that the conflict between Arya and Sansa is escalating; Sansa sees to be afraid and on her guard, Arya wants to find out why.
And Dany and Tyrion are waiting on Dragonstone, for news of Jon's mission, and of Cersei's next move.
We'll be reviewing it all when it happens of course, but meanwhile, here is the trailer for you:
