Born in February 2010, Ayaan, the first child of Emraan and wife Parveen Shahani, was diagnosed with first stage of this illness at the age of four in early 2014.
To help raise awareness about the disease and share their story, Emraan came out with a book titled The Kiss of Life: How A Superhero and My Son Defeated Cancer last year. It chronicles his career, family, the birth of his son, cancer and treatment thereafter.
According to reports, the documentary is tentatively titled The C Word.
Hashmi is going to be seen next in director Milan Luthria's upcoming crime period drama Baadshaho. He has described his character as the 'guns and roses badass', which suggests that it is a mix of the formidable and the generous, as per a report by Firstpost few days back.
The film also stars Vidyut Jammwal, Ileana D'Cruz and Esha Gupta. It is co-produced by Luthria, and Bhushan and Krishan Kumar's T-Series Films. It is slated to release on 1 September.
