Malayalam director Diphan, 45, passed away at a private hospital in Kochi on Monday 13 March 2017. The celebrated director of films like Puthiya Mugham, was suffering from liver cirrhosis and had kidney failure reports The News Minute. He was admitted in the hospital for the last three days. His health worsened when doctors said he was reacting positively to medication.
The body will be cremated in his native Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday. He had directed films like Leader, Puthiya Mugham, Hero and Dolphin Bar. In D Company, a collection of short films, he had directed the film Gangs of Vadukkumnathan.
Condolences have been pouring in for Diphan on social media, with many celebrities expressing their grief at his untimely death.
