Dev Patel, Tilda Cobham-Hervey's next project is based on 2008 terrorist attacks in Mumbai
The 26-year-old Oscar-nominated actor Dev Patel, has been revealed to be dating Tilda Cobham-Hervey, 22, who he met on set of upcoming American-Australian thriller Hotel Mumbai.
Patel and Hervey were besotted by one another as they first made their way to a Gastro pub in East Hollywood, London for lunch reports Mirror UK. Hervey is an Australian actor who has acted in films like 52 Tuesdays and One Eyed Girl.
An onlooker reported saying, "They looked so in love, it was really sweet to see. They couldn’t stop smiling and Dev kept kissing Tilda’s head. It was lovely."
The film, Hotel Mumbai is about the 2008 terrorist attacks on the Taj Mahal hotel in Mumbai reports Deadline.
The basis for the screenplay, which is being written by John Collee and Anthony Maras, is the Emmy-nominated documentary Surviving Mumbai, a harrowing account of the terrorist attack on the iconic Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in India by a group of heavily armed Pakistani militants.
For 68 hours, hundreds were held hostage as shots rang out and an enormous fire raged. When the smoke cleared, more than 160 people were dead in total as a result of the attacks and many more injured. Only the courageous actions of staff and guests prevented a much higher death toll in the hotel itself.
Patel was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for Lion, but lost to Moonlight’s Mahershala Ali at the Oscars but took home a BAFTA Award this year for the same role.
