Desi girl on the red carpet: Priyanka Chopra to present an award at Oscars 2016
This is surely Priyanka Chopra's year.
After making waves with Quantico and Bajirao Mastani all of last year, 2016 begun for the desi girl with winning at the People's Choice Awards and then getting there very respected Padma Shree.
And now, Chopra has been selected to present an award at the 2016 Oscars along with revered names such as Reese Witherspoon, Steve Carell, JK Simmons and Jared Leto, among others.

The official Oscars website put out the announcement early on Tuesday morning (IST), which read, “Oscars producers David Hill and Reginald Hudlin announced today the second slate of presenters for the 88th Oscars telecast. The Oscars, hosted by Chris Rock, will air live Oscar Sunday, 28 February, on ABC.”
The full list of additional presenters include Steve Carell, Priyanka Chopra, Quincy Jones, Byung-hun Lee, Jared Leto, Julianne Moore, Olivia Munn, Margot Robbie, Jason Segel, Andy Serkis, JK Simmons, Kerry Washington, and Reese Witherspoon.
The website further stated why they were choosing the presenters, "These artistes have enriched the international movie-going experience with a range of memorable work from the comic to the profound,” Hudlin and Hill said. “In the process, they have won over millions of fans, and we count ourselves among them.”
