Demi Lovato launches single 'Sorry Not Sorry' after long hiatus; pens touching note for fans
Demi Lovato is back with a new single after a long gap. The 24-year-old pop singer, who had last released the full album Confident in 2015, has officially kicked off what appears to be the next era of her career with a new single titled 'Sorry Not Sorry.'
The Confident album singer was also in the news recently for penning a touching note to her diehard fans, thanking them for sticking by her during her time away.
"Thank you for allowing me to take the time I needed at the end of last year to step away from all the craziness," she wrote. "I'll admit, I was worried that people would get upset with me. But what I saw was that instead of getting upset, literally every single one of you wrapped your arms around me and showed me how unwavering your love and support is."
Though the song is not available on YouTube yet, the lyrics of 'Sorry Not Sorry' chronicle her fight with Taylor Swift, much like Katy Perry's 'Swish Swish' talks about her personal feud with Taylor Swift over her backup dancers.
The sassy chorus of 'Sorry Not Sorry' declares:
"Now payback is a bad b**ch, and baby, I’m the baddest. You f**king with a savage, can’t have this, can’t have this. And it’d be nice for me to take it easy on ya, but nah. Baby I’m sorry, I’m not sorry. Being so bad got me feeling so good. Showing you up, like I knew that I would. Feeling inspired ‘cause the tables have turned. Yeah, I’m on fire, and I know that it burns."
While Lovato has not commented on whom the song is meant for, her fans have pointed at Taylor Swift.

The full song is available on online streaming services, so it looks like lot of her fans will have to wait till the single makes its YouTube debut.
