Deepika Padukone's recent reaction to a tweet by entertainment editor Rajeev Masand on Harshvardhan Kapoor has fuelled a lot of rumours about the actress being cast opposite the debutante in Sriram Raghavan's upcoming film.

A report in The Indian Express states that Raghavan, who has earlier directed Badlapur, will be making a film on similar lines as the Varun Dhawan-starrer, but with a female lead.
While Deepika will be seen as the protagonist, Harshvardhan's role will be similar to that of Nawazuddin Siddiqui's in the 2015 film.
Speaking to DNA, Kapoor confirmed, “Yes, I love Sriram’s films. When I heard the idea, I literally jumped at it. It’s incredible. It’s yet another thriller from him.”
However the daily claims that Deepika is not a part of the film, and the reports are mere speculation. Once Harshvardhan finishes his film with Vikramaditya Motwane, Bhavesh Joshi, the decisions will be made. For now, Deepika Padukone being a part of the film is unlikely.
Raghavan is still working on the script and other details of the film. The film is scheduled to begin shooting by the end of the year. Looks like we will have to wait until one of them confirms the news.
The actor's debut film, Mirzya is yet to release, but the actor has already been signed for more films. Kapoor has already begun shooting for his second film Bhavesh Joshi that will be directed by Vikramaditya Motwane.
