Christopher Robin teaser: Winnie The Pooh reunites with his old friend in new Disney film starring Ewan McGregor
Disney has dropped its first teaser for Christopher Robin, starring Ewan McGregor.
The Christopher Robin teaser finds that the young boy who embarked on numerous adventures in the Hundred Acre Wood with his lovable group of stuffed animal friends, is now all grown up and has seemingly lost his sense of imagination after having become a boring old businessman. So, it is up to Pooh Bear and his other childhood friends to help him find the magic in the world and discover the child still inside him.
McGregor will portray the adult Christopher Robin with Hayley Atwell playing his wife Evelyn, Bronte Carmichael his daughter Madeline and Mark Gatiss as his boss Giles. Jim Cummings voices Winnie the Pooh, with Brad Garrett as Eeyore, Chris O'Dowd as Tigger, Toby Jones as Owl, Nick Mohammed as Piglet, Peter Capaldi as Rabbit, and Sophie Okonedo as Kanga.
Marc Forster will direct the live-action project based on a screenplay written by Tom McCarthy, Alex Ross Perry, and Allison Schroeder.
Christopher Robin is named after Milne's son Christopher Robin Milne. The character appears in poems as well as two books, titled Winnie the Pooh (1926) and The House at Pooh Corney (1928).
The tales were adapted by Disney into several animated projects, which include 1988's series The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and 2011's animated movie Winnie the Pooh.
Christopher Robin will hit theatres on 3 August this year.
