Tusshar Kapoor plans to venture into production, won't collaborate with sister Ekta Kapoor
Tusshar Kapoor is going to venture into production and admitted to the idea being a "concrete one" recently.
"The idea is a concrete one. There are a few stories on my mind that I wish to produce, but production is a full-time job. It can be exhausting. I am committed as an actor, and do not wish to leave acting to pursue production. So, striking a balance will be necessary," said Tusshar, according to a Mid-Day report.
The actor went on to add there is no set date for the launch of his production house, however the idea of venturing into production plays on his mind "all the time".
On being asked whether he would collaborate with his sister Ekta Kapoor — considering she is a well established and successful television and film producer, Tusshar responded that he would like to launch his production venture on his own, wanting an "entity that's entirely mine".
He feels that his sister and him have completely different tastes and sensibilities coupled with strong, independent opinions. Living under the same roof, the actor feels it is better to have separate "work identities", reinstating that him and Ekta always have "each others back".
Tusshar is returning to acting with the Diwali release Golmaal Again opposite Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Shreyas Talpade, Tabu and Parineeti Chopra. Tusshar had a son, Laksshya, in June 2016 following which he was on paternity leave and took a hiatus from acting.
