Sridevi passes away: Shah Rukh Khan pens insightful message in memory of his Army co-star
Late on Wednesday night, after paying his homage to Sridevi, Shah Rukh Khan took to Twitter and wrote an emotional yet insightful message.
How can one not just feel love & beauty & be grateful for a life that became a part of yours in some small way by making it prettier....isn’t it just easier to feel love & give towards that life, even in death...the comfort of appreciation and gratitude.

Sridevi's Army co-star, SRK, along with Gauri Khan, had visited the Kapoors on Tuesday. He was also spotted at the Celebrations Sports Club on Wednesday where Sridevi's mortal remains were kept for people to meet and pray for. The news of Sridevi's untimely demise had left the country in shock. While most of her Bollywood contemporaries had taken to Twitter to express their thoughts and extend condolences, SRK remained very much quiet on social media until Wednesday when Sridevi was cremated with full state honour. Close to 40,000 people turned up to witness Sridevi's last journey to the eternal abode. She was draped in her favourite beautiful maroon and gold Kanjeevaram sari and golden ornaments. The open truck in which she was taken to the cremation ground, was decorated with white mogra flowers which were again her favourite. Hema Malini, who came down to see Sridevi for the last time along with daughter Esha Deol, posted how beautiful the actress looked in the sari.
Arrangements were so well made that the whole atmosphere was tranquil, everything was smooth & executed with finesse - befitting the departed soul. Goodbye dear friend!🙏 — Hema Malini (@dreamgirlhema) February 28, 2018
Paid my last respects to Sridevi. The entire industry was there grieving, some on the verge of breakdown. Such was her aura & magic in films. She lay there, beautiful in a red saree, serene in death & totally at peace. 😢

The residents of Sridevi's Lokhandwala complex called off the celebrations of Holi as a gesture of respect to the grieving family.
