Narendra Modi biopic: BJP leader and veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha is keen to play PM onscreen
Shatrughan Sinha has recently expressed his wish to portray Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the silver screen in London when he was conferred an award by Keith Vaz, MP from the British Labour Party.
The 72-year-old senior Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sinha took to Twitter and shared the news of receiving lifetime achievement award at a ceremony hosted by Britain's Asian Voice weekly newspaper.

The award ceremony was followed by a question-answer round in which the veteran actor was asked which role he wishes to play next, in reply to which Sinha said he would love to play Narendra Modi, who he believes is the most dynamic action hero in India.
"Narendra Modi is indeed our most dynamic action hero. I always called him that and who wouldn’t want to play him in a film? I am very excited at the prospect and look forward to doing full justice to it," Shatrughan Sinha said, as quoted by Republic.
Post his comment, there are several rumors doing rounds in the media which claimed that a plan for a biopic on Modi is indeed in place. While the film will reportedly be produced by Sheetal Talwar, it will be directed by his wife and former journalist Bhavna Talwar. DNA reports that the duo have roped Sinha in for the lead role and the film might start rolling towards the end of this year.
On the other hand, NRI filmmaker Mitesh Patel's Rs 40 crore biopic on Modi is already in works, with another BJP MP-actor Paresh Rawal playing the PM's role.
