Judwaa 2: A box-office collection of Rs 119 cr makes it Varun Dhawan's highest solo grosser
Judwaa 2 has officially become Varun Dhawan's highest grossing film (which sees the actor in the capacity of the solo male lead), according to trade analyst Taran Adarsh.

The film, which also stars Taapsee Pannu and Jacqueline Fernandez, has overtaken Varun's previous highest grossing movie Badrinath Ki Dulhania (2017), where he starred opposite Alia Bhatt. The film has made a total of Rs 119 crore at the Bollywood box-office since the day of its release on 29 September.
Directed by Varun's father David Dhawan, Judwaa 2 is the reboot of the 1997 original Judwaa which starred Salman Khan, Karisma Kapoor and Rambha. Judwaa 2 sees Varun in a double role, playing the famous characters of Prem and Raja. The movie also has new renditions of old Judwaa songs like 'Oonchi Hai Building' and 'Tan Tana Tan'

With no other major released planned until Diwali, it is possible that Judwaa 2 will keeo up its steady run at the box-office. Diwali will see the release of two major movies — Aamir Khan's Secret Superstar and Rohit Shetty's multi-starrer Golmaal Again starring Ajay Devgn, Shreyas Talpade, Tusshar Kapoor and Arshad Warsi alongside Tabu and Parineeti Chopra.
