Actor and director Farhan Akhar has teamed up with National Geographic and will be the host of a show that will talk about the ecological damage that humans are doing to the environment.
In a video for Nat Geo, he said, "When I was a kid I used to collect National Geographic magazine as it was one of my favourite magazines. We have teamed up for something very important. What we are going to talk about is an issue and we are really looking forward to this collaboration as we hope it reaches out to as many people as possible."
He spoke about this campaign, adding that it is one of the biggest issues humans face today. He emphasised the need to slow things down and do whatever one can for the environment; he said that this is what the campaign is centered on.
The 43-year-old also spoke about his love for animals, revealing that it was his suggestion to include a dog in his latest ad. He described himself as a big animal lover, adding that he has always had pets.
Farhan Akhtar was last seen in Rock On 2 directed by Shujaat Saudagar. His upcoming project is Lucknow Central directed by Nikhil Advani, where he will essay the role of an aspiring Bhojpuri actor. He is also set to be a part of Ashutosh Gowariker's next, which is an action-packed story that unfolds in Europe.
