‘Dosti Ki Hai, Nibhani Toh Padegi Hi’ or ‘Dosti Main no sorry no thank you’, we all have grown up hearing one-liners about friendship, courtesy Bollywood. Films are nothing but a reflection of our lives, and since friends form a major part of everyone’s lives, the Industry has its share of films which explore this beautiful relationship.

Here’s a look at some of the most memorable films which gave us major friendship goals –

1)     Sholay

One of the best Bollywood films ever, Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra’s characters of Jai and Veeru in Sholay have become immortal for cinephiles.

2)     Rang De Basanti

A story of a group of friends who find purpose in life while filming a documentary, Aamir Khan, Kunal Kapoor, Soha Ali Khan starrer Rang De Basanti brought about a sort of revolution amongst the youth.

3)     Dil Chahta Hai

Before the release of the film, distributors and trade experts had declared that the film was doomed. However, the Aamir Khan, Akshaye Khanna, Saif Ali Khan starrer went on to become a cult film.

4)     Queen

One of the girls! This Kangana Ranaut starrer was the perfect story of how the right company can do wonders to one’s self-esteem and outlook towards life.

5)     3 Idiots

Once a friend, always a friend! This Aamir Khan, R Madhavan, Sharman Joshi starrer reiterated how true friends will always stand by your side under any circumstances.

Mahinder Singh Saniwal’s upcoming film, Journey of Bhangover, also reiterates the importance of good friends. The film is the story of five friends who consume Bhang during a Holi party, and find themselves in a sticky situation and have no recollection of what happened to them.

The film is a comedy thriller and also features an item song by Bigg Boss 11 contestant Sapna Choudhary. The journey of Bhangover has been produced by Meenakshi and is scheduled to release on 15th Dec 2017.
