Bigg Boss 11 Weekend Ka Vaar, 14 October 2017: Salman Khan reveals safe contestants — Vikas Gupta, Hina Khan
Salman Khan, following the Bigg Boss tradition, begins the Weekend Ka Vaar in his secret chalet built inside the Bigg Boss house. Here he closely observes the contestants, their mannerisms and behaviour only to pass some tongue-in-cheek comments about them.
Looking dapper in a black suit, he makes his grand entry on stage singing Saat Samundar Paar and swinging to the beats of the 90s favourite. He then talks about the most controversial and much used word in the history of Bigg Boss – ‘Footage’. His often silent friend, Jallaad then makes an entry on stage and the two talk about how the contestants resemble iconic characters from old movies. He says that Shilpa Shinde reminds him of ‘Sridevi from Sadma’ and not ‘Chandni waali Sridevi’ that she thinks she is. Vikas, on the other hand believes in Amrish Puri’s patent dialogue — ‘Jaa Beti Jaa, Jee Le Apni Zindagi’; Arshi is like ‘Amitabh Bachchan from Shahenshah’ and Hina is none other than iconic character ‘Mother India’, who acts as though the entire world’s problems rest on her shoulders.
Soon after the main show begins and Salman enters the house through ME TV. Salman asks Arshi to sit on Lucinda Nicholas’ lips, referring to it as a sofa. Ouch. He then says “I called a contestant dog on the show, and I apologize…to all the dogs for that”. Yep, Salman just apologised to dogs for comparing them to Zubair Khan. We don’t need to remind you of the context.
As Weekend Ka Vaar takes full form, Salman calls upon contestants to the ‘Katghara’ and questions them about the accusations that have been put on them by the rest of the housemates. Arshi admits that she is a venomous snake who can turn any truth to a lie! As multiple truths surface, Hina accuses Vikas of being “Kaamchor” and stands her guard against allegation that are made. Hina says that she has apologised for making the blunder about captaincy nominations.
In the final moments of Salman’s interrogation, Hina ends the session by questioning Vikas’ captaincy. Next one is Shilpa Shinde on the stands. She is questioned about flipping out on contestants. Arshi accuses her of planning and plotting fights. Shilpa retaliates. Salman calls Akash Dadlani ‘Meethi churi’. Hina is accused of not knowing how to follow through friendship. She refutes all accusations. Arshi Khan accuses Shilpa Shinde of orchestrating fights.
Arshi accuses Vikas for not using the powers given to him through captaincy. Her reasoning is that Vikas should make Hina Khan do the work and let her get away with her unruly attitude. Vikas says he is Captain not King of the house. He can only tell the person, not order them. After that Salman announces that along with Hina, Vikas is safe as well.
Salman reveals two names of contestants who are safe from eviction this week and those are Vikas and Hina. Thereafter, Appyfizz caller of the week asks Shilpa that she has been after Vikas’s life all this while but why she has changed her attitude towards Vikas since he has become the Captain. Shilpa announces that she is respecting the captainship, and she doesn’t want to be called unruly after the week, hence she is following the rules properly.
In an interesting moment of the show, Salman decides to give Jyoti a lesson on “sex education” and tries to explain he various sexual orientations -- metrosexuality, bisexuality, heterosexuality and homosexuality. He does this because Jyoti was found shocked when she came to know about the sexual preferences of certain contestants in the house during a casual chat with them. Vikas and Hina are safe and one of the final three -- Shivani, Jyoti and Sapna are in danger.
