Bengali TV actress Moumita Saha found hanging in Kolkata flat; police recovers suicide note
Moumita Saha, a struggling television actress from Kolkata committed suicide on 10 March. The 23-year-old was found hanging in her rented flat in the city's Regent Park in Ashok Nagar area, reports Financial Express.
Saha reportedly hanged herself from a ceiling fan. She was living there for the last two years, all by herself. A suicide note was also recovered from her room.
“The house owner informed us today after the door of the flat was not opened since last afternoon.We have gone through her social networking site where her last post appeared to be written out of depression. We are going through her mobile call list,” the police told FE.
According to Ei Samay, a Bengali epaper, the suicide note which was written in Bengali, read, "I could not become an established actor. Could not fulfill your expectations. So, I am leaving forever."
Moumita, who is originally a native of Bandel in Hooghly district, has always been sentimental and stubborn, according to her parents. Her mother visited her Ashok Nagar flat on the afternoon of 9 March. After coming back home the same day, the parents could not reach her over the phone and the next day, the door was broken by the neighbors only to find her in a lifeless state.
The actress worked in a couple of TV serials in Bengali, such as Bhalobasha.com, Kojagori, Kundphuler Mala, Mahaprabhu Chaitanya, and Jalnupur.
