Now, Baahubali : The Conclusion is gearing up to beat the record set by Baahubali: The Beginning which scored a lifetime gross of Rs 650 crore. What is more interesting is that Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, by the end of its first week, is all set to break the record of PK for the worldwide highest Indian grosser which currently stands at Rs 720 crore.
At Vettri in Chrompet, a suburb of Chennai, the film reported houseful at 8 am today (May 2), a working day. Rakesh Gowthaman of Vettri said, “It is truly amazing! A film on its fifth day of release is going full in a morning show! Normally, there is a huge drop for the biggest of films on Monday but we have all full house all day long. Baahubali 2: The Conclusion is going to break all existing box-office records at my theatre.”
In Tamil Nadu, the film has grossed around Rs 39 crore in four days, which is humongous. In another day or so, it would have cross the cost it has been purchased at, i.e., Rs 45 crore. The film is drawing huge family audiences and with schools having closed for summer vacation, it is a win-win situation now. There is also no opposition at the box office to Baahubali 2: The Conclusion for the next few weeks in Tamil Nadu.
