Milan Luthria's upcoming action-drama, Baadshaho, is set during 1970s and the songs of the film have so far been able to maintain the period touch in the melody.

After 'Mere Rashke Qamar' and 'Piya More', which were recreated tracks, the film's latest song 'Socha Hai' has been released and it too follows suit.

Featuring Emraan Hashmi and Esha Gupta, the song is a remix of the iconic song 'Kehdu Tumhe' from yet another iconic movie Deewar, which was released in 1975 around the same time Baadshaho is based in.

Originally sung by Kishore Kumar and Asha Bhosle and composed by RD Burman, the remix version has been rendered by Jubin Nautiyal and Neeti Mohan. The music has been recreated and programmed by Tanishk Bagchi.

What really makes the song unique amid today's plethora of remix versions is that the whole song is "rapless", much like what the radio-announcement states before the start of the song.

'Socha Hai' has a soft tempo and brings back yesteryears' touch really well. Bagchi has very skillfully interspersed the new song with bits from the old number.

Baadshaho stars Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi, Ileana D'Cruz, Esha Gupta, Sanjay Mishra and Vidyut Jamwal. It is slated to release on 1 September.
