Aval trailer: Siddharth, Andrea Jeremiah's horror film seems like a perfect Halloween spookfest

Looks like Aval, the upcoming horror flick starring Siddharth, Andrea Jeremiah, Atul Kulkarni and Anisha Angelina Victor might turn out to be the most promising horror film we have seen in recent memory. [caption id=“attachment_4127023” align=“alignleft” width=“380”] ![Andrea Jeremiah and Siddharth in a still from Aval. YouTube[/caption] The two minute trailer of Aval, the flick directed by Milind Rau, is not only edgy and intriguing but also spooky enough to make you shut your eyes reflexively every tenth second. The horror film seems to follow the journey of a doctor, his wife and kid who get caught up in a number of bizarre incidents because of their haunted house next door. Apart from many suspense elements, age-old spooky houses and the mysterious hills, another interesting element in the film is the character - Jenny, played by Angelina. In most parts of the trailer, Jenny is shown as the one possessed and haunted by the ghost and here is where Atul Kulkarni plays a part, in the midst of a horror setup. From the little that we are exposed to of the film, it does give the vibe of being one of its kind in the horror genre. Now, whether the horror drama will haunt you enough or not, we will have to wait and watch. Also, launched along with trailer was the first romantic duet from the film - ‘Kaarigai Kanne’. Actors Siddharth and Andrea are of course the highlights of this melody and jazz it up with their sizzling chemistry. The two seem to share a great rapport onscreen and ‘Kaarigai Kanne’ reveals the love story between the leads and how everything falls into place for the two, until we are reminded of the plot twist as the trailer strikes back. What is interesting is, like Siddharth pointed out at the trailer launch on Monday, Aval is not only a thriller but it is also supposed to be based on a true story. The actor, who is also the co-producer and writer of this film, revealed that the incidents shown in the film are actually based on what happened to a friend and how the movie was been in the making for four years. Touted to be a horror film which will match up to Hollywood standards, according to Atul Kulkarni, the glimpse into the film is one of the best trailers the actor has witnessed in the recent past. Both Atul and Siddharth also got us all nostalgic as the actors recollected their last stint together in Rang De Basanti and how with Aval, they reunite after almost 11 years. And not to forget, Andrea revealed  how she is not going to watch her own movie at a stretch because the experience might turn out to be too scary. The movie, presented by Viacom 18 Pictures, is all set to hit the screens on 3 November. It will also release in Hindi as The House Next Door and in Telugu as Gruham.
