Anuskha Sharma's neighbour files complaint with BMC against actress' 'illegal' electrical installation
Move over Kapil Sharma, the Brihanmumbai Mahanagar Corporation has found its next target. Anushka Sharma has been a resident of Badrinath Towers in Versova, Mumbai (lives on the 20th floor to be exact) for a few years. However, it is not just the average Mumbaikar who has problems with their neighbours. Now, Mumbai Mirror has reported that a neighbour has taken his tiff with the Sharmas to BMC.
The Phillauri actress has been accused of illegally installing an electric junction box on her floor by her neighbour Sunil Batra, who recently filed a complaint at the BMC. His complaint also states the fact that the Sharmas had flouted several other laws in the society. While the BMC has inspected the installation and written back to recently wrote to Anushka about it, the actress’ spokesperson revealed that these allegations were baseless and the electric junction box was installed only after all permissions were in place.
But another neighbour of the same building said Batra had a personal axe to grind, hence he was targeting Anushka and her family. "This particular individual claiming that the construction is illegal, himself has multiple illegal parking spaces, apart from other illegal constructions in and around his house," the resident said.
The resident further claimed that Batra was ousted as secretary of the building following a consensus among several residents, including Anushka's father Col (retired) Ajay Kumar Sharma. He said, "He wants to take his personal vendetta into the public domain by throwing around a celebrity's name, such as Anushka's, as she is a public figure."
