After Karan Johar row, Kangana Ranaut angers Tanu Weds Manu director Anand L Rai
Kangana Ranaut may be giving some badass lessons to everyone on how to keep one's head held high during controversial times, it seems the industry isn't too happy with her recent avatar.
One of the films that catapulted Kangana to stardom is Anand L Rai's Tanu Weds Manu and its sequel, Tanu Weds Manu Returns. However, now Mumbai Mirror reports that Rai is pissed off with Ranaut for suggesting that he is writing a movie especially for her.
Rai has been reportedly denying to everyone that he is penning a story for Kangana, and is quite angry at the rumour. He is currently working on his next film with Shah Rukh Khan, where Khan is touted to play a dwarf.
The Kangana Ranaut-Karan Johar feud began when Ranaut went on Johar' show, Koffee with Karan, to promote her film Rangoon. On the show, she called him the "movie mafia" and the "flag-bearer of nepotism". At the time, Johar laughed it off, but weeks later addressed her comments in an interview to Anupama Chopra at London School of Economics. He said he is tired of her playing the "victim card" and asked her to quit the industry is it bothers her so much.
Johar has since then faced a social media backlash, with his response being called out as privileged and sexist.
Quite the war of words for Kangana Ranaut.
